‘Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko’ on its last weekend

Ballet Philippines’ “Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko,” a new dance musical featuring the songs of VST & Co., is playing its second and last weekend at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Main Theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo).


The show, a collaboration with ABS-CBN and the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gerard Salonga, features VST hits like “Rock Baby Rock,” “Magsayawan” and “Ipagpatawad Mo,” woven into a libretto written by Bibeth Orteza and transformed into dance by choreographers James Laforteza, PJ Rebullida and Carissa Adea.

The performers include legendary dancers Edna Vida and Nonoy Froilan, BP mainstays Denise Parungao, Garry Corpuz, Rita Angela Winder and Jean Marc Cordero, and for the vocal parts, ABS-CBN stars Karylle, Michael Pangilinan, Markki Stroem and Kyle Echarri and the alternate cast of Cooky Chua, Sandino Martin, Jef Flores and Noel Comia Jr.
Remaining shows are today, Dec. 10, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.; and tomorrow, Dec. 11, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
