A Delightful Experience with Every Bite

From rice meals, noodle dishes to mouthwatering entrees, Hainanese Delights offer a very delightful assortment of dishes indeed.

(Born from a passion for good food and a love for cooking, Pierre Ching has been able to come up with his own take on Asian favorites such as Radish Cake, dumplings, and the increasingly popular, Hainanese rice which he was also able to turn into a very lucrative business aptly called, Hainanese Delights. )

Hainanese Delights opened its first branch in Robinsons Galleria early this year with modest expectations. It turned out to be a big hit among customers of all age brackets. From families looking for a hearty meal to students who want more bang for the buck without sacrificing taste, the first Hainanese Delights quickly became popular mainly thanks to good word of mouth, and of course, great food.

Something different for the market

“We wanted to offer something different to the market, given that there are many food outlets offering ‘unlimited rice’ these days, I thought why not offer Hainanese rice to make it more special?” says Pierre. But even with their special menu offerings and trademark unlimited Hainanese Rice, Pierre assures customers that their price points remain very affordable given that they aim to cater to people from all walks of life; everyone’s welcome to their restaurant as long as they have an appetite for good food.

A growing demand

With the overwhelming demand from its first Hainanese Delights branch, Pierre and his partners decided to put up a second branch, this time in Robinsons Place Manila, Pedro Gil Wing. A hub for students, foreigners, families, and office workers, Robinsons Place is an ideal location for their new branch.

However, Pierre reveals more exciting news as Hainanese Delights is actually slated to open several more branches within the year up to early next year. Foodies should eagerly anticipate the opening of Hainanese Delights in Robinsons Forum, SM Fairview, SM Masinag, Robinsons Metroeast, SM Taytay, SM Dasmarinas, Robinsons Lipa, SM Sta Rosa, SM Baguio, SM San Fernando City, SM City North EDSA, and SM Southmall just this year alone while four more branches are also scheduled to open next year – all company owned.

He says that this way, they will be able to better cater to their customers’ demand for their dishes, house specialties that include the bestselling Hainanese Delights (the staple dish of the restaurant, it consists of perfectly seasoned and tender chicken plus the restaurant’s delicious Hainanese rice; make sure to pair it with Hainanese Delight’s special ginger sauce for a more flavorful kick), Tender Beef Tendons (a tasty specialty, beef tendons are cooked in a heady soup and enjoyed with noodles), Take the Cake (a crunchy concoction of salt and pepper radish cake – a fresh take on an Asian classic, that will surely leave diners wanting more), as well as their own special beverage concoctions like Taste of Taro (enjoy the taste of rich taro flavor that is best for those with a sweet tooth), Mocha Too Much (a great pick-me-up for those who want their caffeine fix), and Sweet Strawberry (a refreshing and light drink that will perfectly complement your meal) that will soon be available in Hainanese Delight branches. Of course, branching out also means that they’ll be able to introduce Hainanese Delights to a bigger market, bringing the joy of eating Asian specialties to more and more people.

So if you’ve been dreaming of your favorite Asian specialties or you just want a great new restaurant to enjoy with your family, friends, or even officemates, Hainanese Delights is definitely one place that will not disappoint. Sink your teeth into hearty servings of Asian specialties without burning a hole in your pocket allowing you to enjoy more.

From a selection of entrees that ranges from vegetables to seafood and pork to a variety of filling noodle and rice dishes that are cooked in a healthier way to their new beverages that will complete your meal, a visit to Hainanese Delights is definitely in order.
