Rustan’s celebrated the best of France, Italy and Spain in “Romancing the Mediterranean,” a showcase of exquisite merchandise from these European countries.
The evening, dahlings, started with an angelic performance by 8-year-old Harriette Wharmby, followed by inspiring speeches by Rustan’s Commercial Corp. chair and CEO Zenaida “Nedy” Tantoco and Trade Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.
Tantoco and Lopez proceeded with a toast, along with French Embassy Charge d’Affaires Laurent Le Godec, Italian Ambassador Massimo Roscigno, Spanish Ambassador Luis Antonio Calvo Castaño with madame Maria Jose Carrasco.
Joining them as well in the toast were Maritess Tantoco Enriquez, Donnie Tantoco and Rustan’s chair emeritus and former Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr.
Fundacion Centro Flamenco entertained the guests. Jaw-dropping food stations featuring the three countries’ dishes were all over the hall.
Thanks to Rustan’s, we were, indeed, reminded that life is too short to be lived without passion and a touch of romance.

Held at Beyond the Box in Resorts World Manila was the launch of the iPhone 7, Apple’s most advanced mobile device to date.
Many people waited for the iPhone 7’s unveiling, counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until the clock struck 12.
“The iPhones just keep getting better, and the iPhone 7 certainly does not disappoint,” said Peter Carrillo, marketing manager of Beyond the Box. “As the country’s foremost Apple premium reseller, we want to make sure our customers get first access, right at the moment it becomes officially available in the country. We want to make owning these incredible devices easy.”
Appropriately named after a number that signifies “completeness” and “perfection,” iPhone 7 dramatically improves the most important aspects of the iPhone experience.
