LOOK: More Miss Universe bets arrive in Manila

More candidates in the upcoming 65th Miss Universe pageant arrived in Manila on Thursday morning, less than three weeks before the much awaited coronation night.

Miss Costa Rica Carolina Duran and Miss Nicaragua Marina Jacoby arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at around 5 a.m., the Department of Tourism (DOT) said. They were welcomed by DOT officials.

Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Miss Canada Siera Bearchell and Miss British Virgin Islands Erika Creque also arrived at Naia Terminal 2 later in the morning. They were welcomed by DOT Undersecretary Katherine De Castro.

Beauty queens representing Albania, New Zealand, Sierra Leone and Ukraine also arrived in Manila in previous days.

Other candidates who are already in the country are Miss Thailand, Brazil, Guyana, and US Virgin Islands.

The Miss Universe 2016 coronation night will be held on Jan. 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. YG/CDG
