Some candidates for the 65th Miss Universe pageant have shared photos of their national costumes on social media, about two weeks before the much-awaited competition.

Miss Malaysia Kiran Jassal will be wearing an outfit inspired by the famous twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Towers.

Miss Indonesia Kezia Warouw will be donning a sparkling gold outfit inspired by Garuda, a holy bird in Hindu and Buddhist mythology which is also a national emblem of the country.

Miss Australia Caris Tiivel, meanwhile, will wear an outfit inspired by the iconic Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef off the coast of Queensland, in an attempt to raise awareness on coral bleaching.

Miss Venezuela, Miss Norway, and Miss Panama also shared photos of their national costumes online.

For her part, Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina will be wearing a national costume by Filipino designer Rhett Eala, which has yet to be made public. Eala also designed Medina’s evening gown.
