LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — If the sun doesn’t shine in Cebu on Tuesday, the swimwear presentation for candidates of Miss Universe will have to be moved indoor.

Arthur Lo, the corporate liaison officer of the Jpark Island Resort and Waterfront Cebu, said the original plan was to hold the show at the resort’s Abalone Garden where two stages have been put up.

But they might be forced to go to “Plan B,” should heavy rains continue on Tuesday.

Cebu experienced downpour on Monday, triggering floods in some areas in the province.

“We have been preparing for Miss Universe for two months and if the rain persist, we have to make a decision to transfer it indoor,” said Lo.

The venue would be moved to the Triton Ballroom, which can accommodate 600 people.

As of Monday afternoon, a team has started transferring the LED screens to the Triton ballroom, just in case of bad weather on Tuesday.

But if the sun comes out on Tuesday, the swimwear presentation will push through at the Abalone Garden.

The 87 Miss Universe candidates will arrive in two batches, according to Ren Orao, marketing executive of the Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu.

The first batch will arrive at 6 a.m. and two hours later, the second batch.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will arrive on board a private plane, with Chavit Singson, one of the partners of the pageant.  SFM
