At first people thought it was really Gloria Diaz in the black and white photo, but in reality it was her daughter Isabelle, who dressed up as her mom for Tim Yap’s 40th birthday bash. Isabelle wore her mom’s actual Miss Universe crown, “When your mom is iconic enough to be a costume,” she posted on her Instagram account. Her glam team, makeup artist Anthea Bueno, hairstylist Nantey West and stylist Liz Uy were behind this awesome concept, complete with the 60s eyelashes and eyeliner.
Way back in past interviews, Isabelle expressed her wish to join Bb. Pilipinas, but her protective mom thought otherwise, “If you want a crown, wear mine,” her mom said, and she literally did.
