Only for the holidays, Adora offers handpicked pieces—inspired by nature and even by impressionist Monet.
H. Stern continues to find inspiration in nature and other unique influences, which has set the brand apart from others.
Using bright pave-set gemstones of red ruby, green tourmaline, white diamond, rock crystal, cognac diamond and fume quartz, the jewelry house breathes new life into its collection dubbed “Lizard.”
The “Sofia” collection, meanwhile, revives the charming floral styles that were the craze in the ’50s and ’60s. Set with a graduation of white, yellow and cognac diamonds, “Sofia” displays pave-set rings and earrings in H. Stern’s trademark 18K noble gold, forming lustrous blooming flowers.
The brand also captures the hues of nature in gemstones such as citrines of varying shades, from pale yellow to vivid orange, amethysts, and rutilated and smoky quartzes set in 18K yellow or noble gold adorned with diamonds and sapphires.
The brand’s knack for turning unusual ideas into intricate jewelry is evident in its “Cobblestones” and “Justine” collections. The former features irregular-shaped stones reminiscent of a cobblestone street in Rua das Pedras, Brazil, while “Justine” has cabochons of crystal invoking the image of large, vigilant eyes.
Elaborate detailing and refined craftsmanship are also manifested in the brand’s collection called “Geisha.” The jewels, molded into delicate shapes with cutout lifelike leaves surrounded by diamonds, are reminiscent of the Japanese art of origami.
Another Art Deco-inspired line is “Virtuose,” which offers fine gemstones tinted in deep shades, created in large sizes and cut in simple rectangular shapes, then presented in exquisite necklaces and bracelets.
The setting is kept minimal and architectural with fume quartz in dark brown and deep blue aquamarine.
Of course, what would the holidays be without a lot of sparkle and adornments in gargantuan proportions? H. Stern’s “Giverny” collection offers rings, pendants and earrings inspired by impressionist painter Claude Monet’s creations. Though the pieces are modern and bold, they are still kept delicate and elegant, perfect for the holiday festivities.
H. Stern’s Private Collection pieces will be available in Adora only for the month of December. Adora is at 3/F, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City.
