Marriot Café at Marriott Hotel Manila offers a taste of the countries that brought home the coveted crown: Mexico’s grilled skirt steaks with tortilla and guacamole, US’ Texas style BBQ ribs with mac and cheese, and the Philippines’ Binacol (chicken soup cooked in tamarind and coconut juice), among others. Dinner is priced at P2,100 per person.

 

Cru Steakhouse has a Queen Bee Set Menu: Salmon Carpaccio (salmon gravlax, beetroot salad, and horseradish cream); Sweet Corn Velouté (organic vegetable fajitas and chive oil); Fillet Mignon (seared foie gras, rosti potatoes, mushroom ragoût, and blueberry sauce); and Ube Maclair (purple yam macaron, chantilly jellied dalandan coulis, Good Shepherd ube cream, and pili nut crumble). The special menu is at P3,000 nett.

Marriott Café Bakery’s Crown of Confidence and Decadence is a tiara made of moist chocolate cake, salted caramel chocolate ganache, rolled fondant, silver dragées, isomalt blue stone and handmade pastillage, for P205 a slice.

 

Beauty pageant-themed cocktails at the Greatroom include Miss Congeniality for P375, Miss Photogenic for P345, The Runner Ups for P375, The Queen for P360, and Beauty and Brains for P280.

 

The Miss Universe viewing party at the hotel lobby is at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 30.
