Filipino gays lined up early Monday to witness today’s historic event – the coronation of the next Miss Universe.

 

They came prepared, donned with the trademark blue gown and crown of the outgoing queen Pia Wurtzbach as they lined up at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

 

All are united in expressing support for the country’s bet, Maxine Medina.

 

But the Filipino’s obsession with beauty pageants is rivaled by a neighboring country – that of Thailand’s, whose citizens also lined up early waving their country’s flag.

 

They said they are proud of their representative Chalita Suansane, who like Maxine is an early favorite in the Miss Universe. IDL
