Unexplainable illnesses, unknown cures | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

I received two interesting reactions to my Jan. 10 column which was about invisible or nonphysical causes of illness.

The first came from a physician, José Villania, whose two children got sick from common causes and who were cured by nonmedical means.

“I, too, believe in other causes of disease which are unexplained by science,” wrote Villania. “I am a physician and I have seen cases of such phenomena.

“When she was 7 years old, my daughter had itchiness of her skin. I gave her skin ointments, anti-allergies and medicinal soap, to no avail. An elderly woman who tilled my farm advised me to make a concoction of ashes from my dirty kitchen and chicken feathers and apply it to her skin.

“My daughter got cured. She also had an invisible playmate whom she talked to. An elemental?

“Another son had a bout of vomiting, generalized body malaise (napasma daw). I gave him medications—to no avail. My wife made a mixture of ice and burnt cooked rice (ducot) placed in a steaming pan, and covered him with a bed sheet until he perspired. He got cured.”

It’s hard to see any logical connection between the above ailments and their cures. Therefore, conservative doctors will say these are cases of spontaneous remission of illness, or were merely psychosomatic.

Another interesting feedback on my previous column came from Prospero Repollo, managing director of PR Consolidated Industries Limited, Solomon Islands.

He was a senior high school student in 1957 when this strange incident happened. His teacher noticed “a clean space on my head, just on top of my right ear.” She told him “an unknown being or an invisible dwarf must have been playing with and pulling my hair.

“She advised me to rub the bald space with garlic before I slept. I heeded her advice. Within two weeks the hair began to grow on that bald spot, and it fully recovered in one month’s time.”

This is the second case that I have come across of hair disappearing from a person’s head without any known cause.

The first happened more than 15 years ago to a janitor in a nursery school in Parañaque. He apparently angered some elemental dwarves living in the school. He woke up one morning and his coworkers pointed out to him a circular bald spot at the back of his head, about one-and-a-half inches in diameter, like a priest’s tonsure. Unfortunately, for him, no one knew what to do with his “tonsure.”

There’s nothing like a personal experience to convince us of the existence of invisible forces that could affect our health.

Now online

I have good news for readers and followers of this column all over the world. Three of my most popular seminars are now available online.

Those who have always dreamed of attending these seminars but could not do so personally can now enroll online for a reasonable fee. Log on to www.innermindlearning.com to be connected and follow the simple instructions.

The first three popular seminars that will be available are “Soulmates, Karma & Reincarnation,” “Basic ESP and Intuition Development” and “Inner Mind Development.”

The seminar will teach subscribers the same mental technique taught in the live seminars. The Webinar was designed and developed by DV Technologies headed by Richard Estuesta.
