Rustan’s recently launched Metropolitan Dream by H. Nakata—an exclusive collaboration between Italian luxury jeweler Damiani and Japanese football superstar Hidetoshi Nakata, no less.
The 21-piece collection consists of gorgeous necklaces, bangles and bracelets in pink gold and black gold versions, with diamonds. The bracelet has a unique look, with a strap in woven leather, with one or two spirals around the wrist.
Rustan’s hosted a reception for Nakata and Giorgio Damiani, CEO of the Damiani Group. Guests included Italian Ambassador Massimo Roscigno. Welcoming them were Rustan Commercial Corp. president Donnie Tantoco, chair and CEO Zenaida “Nedy” Tantoco and board member Maritess Tantoco Enriquez.
Naturellement, gladness filled the air as guests enjoyed a night of exquisite music, outstanding company, and a celebration of style and taste.

Marriott Hotel Manila added another top name to its roster of notable dining outlets with the newly opened Man Ho, a 140-seater Chinese restaurant that highlights authentic Cantonese dishes prepared by a team headed by executive chef Law Wing Wui.
Leading the ribbon-snipping were Kingson Sian and Stephen James Reilly, Travellers International Hotel Group president and chief operating officer, respectively.
Program emcee Tim Yap invited guests to join the countdown to 12:38 p.m., the auspicious time to officially open the doors of Man Ho.
Chef Law initiated the traditional incense ceremony to the god of heaven and earth and the momentous chopping of the suckling pig to bring prosperity and good fortune for the restaurant.
The ceremony was followed by a dragon-and-lion dance to attract good luck and wealth.
Man Ho’s kitchen team dished out a fabulous 10-course lunch that started with E-fu Noodles with Crab and Egg Sauce.
Next came Roast Suckling Pig; Smoked Fish in Marinated Black Fungus with Vegetable Salad with sesame dressing; Steamed Shrimp Dumpling with Spinach; Steamed Japanese Scallop Dumpling with Truffle; Braised Seafood Soup with Caviar and Conpoy; Fried Boneless Pink Garoupa with Mango Sauce; US Tenderloin with Black Bean Sauce; Hong Kong-Style Roast Goose; and Poached Asparagus with Dried Shrimp and Garlic in Fish Soup.
The jasmine-flavored Chocolate Cake with Soya Chocolate Gelato and Coconut Crisp was a fitting sweet calorific ending, dahlings.

Metro Society’s “Feel Good” issue, Shangri-La Plaza’s 25th anniversary, and Hugo Boss’ Fall-Winter collection were celebrated simultaneously at the Hugo Boss store of Shangri-La Plaza’s East Wing.
The glossy luxury lifestyle mag’s special issue featured inspiring personalities with their pets, luxurious destinations that will feed body, mind and soul, and this year’s Metrowear icon, unbeatable Wynn Wynn Ong, no less.
