A visit to the Cebu will not be complete without indulging on its world-famous ‘roast pig’ or lechon. Luckily for meat-craving Manileños out there, we don’t have to travel anymore all the way to the “Queen City of the South” to get our fix.

Zubuchon, which has been satisfying everyone’s lechon cravings since 2009, is finally coming to Manila by late February.

The enticing news of the crunchy, juicy and tasty lechon’s arrival to the capital was first announced by Zubuchon founder Joel Binamira on his Instagram account on Monday.

The famed lechon store, which has eight branches scattered across Cebu, confirmed the news on its Facebook page the following day: “Yes, the rumors are true. We will be opening in Manila soon!”

According to food app Booky, the much-awaited branch will be located at Yakal corner Talisay Street at San Antonio, Makati, which is just a few meters behind the Makati fire station on Ayala Avenue.

Aside from spoiling Cebuanos and tourists alike with its succulent lechon, Zubuchon’s version of this national dish has been declared as the “best pig ever” by none other than internationally-acclaimed chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain in his now-defunct travel and food show, “No Reservations.”
