Grateful Miss Germany leaves national costume headpiece in PH as gift

As gratitude for the country’s hospitality in hosting the contestants in the recently concluded Miss Universe 2016 pageant, Miss Germany Johanna Acs has decided to give the castle headpiece she used for the national costume competition to a school in Manila.

“It’s just a good gesture because the Philippines has treated us and me so nice so I just wanna say thank you and leave a small part of Germany here in the Philippines,” Acs said.

Interior designer Sol Albar received the headpiece from Acs and intends to have it exhibited at the University of Santo Tomas College of Fine Arts where she is an alumna.

“As interior designers, we appreciate art and beauty,” Sol Albar said.

Acs’s 2-kilogram headpiece was worn along with a white gown and a story book prop that represented castle landmarks and fairy tales in Germany.
