Jun and Nene Leonor hosted a dinner party in honor of Philippine ambassador to the Court of St. James, Antonio “Tonetts” Lagdameo, and our ambassador to Spain, Philippe Lhuillier. The party was held at the Leonor compound.
The garden was fully lit with tivoli lights, and overhanging the buffet table were white twigs all lit up. The floral centerpiece arrangement was by the Bonoan sisters—Tina, Mari and Mailet.
Jun Leonor gave a toast to the two newly appointed ambassadors, with Dom Perignon and Möet champagne. Drinks flowed all night.
Served was the Leonors’ trademark hearty fare: roast beef, turkey, lechon, lengua, callos, fabada, chicken casserole, paella, salmon fish fillet with spinach, seafood lasagna, boiled corned beef, puttanesca pasta and Caesar’s salad.
For dessert, there was strawberry cake, caramel cake, chocolate mousse, canonigo, cheesecake, decadent chocolate cake, macadamia sans rival, crepe cake, blueberry cheesecake, fruit salad and fresh fruits.
Music was provided by Marcy David band, making for a delightful dinner party.
