Tucked away among Serendra’s trendy dining spots is a new hangout for artists, crafters and anyone addicted to art supplies.

Art Bar is the first concept store opened by the Powerbooks brand. It’s a shop filled to the gills with paints, brushes, calligraphy materials, sketchpads, canvases and other tools waiting to be turned into works of art.

Art Bar houses a lot of familiar brands as well as new in-house brands brought in by Powerbooks. Brands have set up special showcases of their products as well as the most complete lineup and inventory that can’t be found elsewhere.

Faber-Castell brought in exclusive products for Art Bar, while Stabilo has added kits and sets for folks who need more than the basics (Stabilo’s pastel highlighters have sold out so quickly there is a waitlist for it). ShinHan Art Touch, a popular brand in Seoul, finds its home at Art Bar, along with Copic, one of the most recognized brands of markers for colorists. The same goes for Zig by Kuretake, which brought in products that will be available only at Art Bar.

There are punchers, washi and stickers galore for the scrapbooker. Rosie’s stickers have a wide variety of stickers and are affordable.

On the second floor of the Art Bar, you’ll find more products geared toward professionals as well as a dedicated workshop space.

The workshops at Art Bar will begin in March. Art Bar is also open to customizing workshops for friends, office team-building activities or for those who want to hold creative parties. If the workshop space is empty, artists can make use of the space with a picture window overlooking Serendra (you can even bring up coffee from Toby’s Estate inside Art Bar).
