HK artists at UP Visayas
Five artists, who are members of the Hong Kong Mural Society, present their personal studio projects in “Unadulterated Art” ongoing until March 31, at University of the Philippines Visayas Art Gallery in Iloilo City.
Participating artists Joel Ferraris, Kong Ho, Martie Geiger-Ho, Penva Yim and Chris Lau are showcasing their painting, sculpture, installation, photography, digital art, ceramics—works done when they were not working on murals around the world.
The Hong Kong Mural Society members have created over 100 site-specific murals in Hong Kong, Philippines, Brunei, Bulgaria and the United States.

Chinese ink art at Duemila
“Moments de Creation,” an exhibit of works in Chinese ink by Sacha Cotture, focuses on the primal elements of life. The show runs until April 3 at Galleria Duemila.
Cotture is a Swiss painter and an architect residing in Manila. In painting, he manages to connect to nature, a world away from his rigid construction materials and architectural forms. He traverses the movements of nature as swift as the wind yet as solid as a rock. He lets the viewer peek in the processes of formation and the beauty of the beginning.

Wyn Wyn Ong retrospective
Burmese-born jewelry designer Wynn Wynn Ong is holding a retrospective exhibit until June 15 at Yuchengco Museum. It features jewelry, art, furniture, couture, objets d’art she made in the past 15 years.

Summer art workshop
Tanaw Alternative Space at Casa Opulencia is offering Summer Awesome Art Workshops for kids, teens and adults.
Courses include drawing in various mediums; painting in oil, acrylic and watercolor; sculpting in terra cotta and ceramics; cartooning and caricatures; food sculpting and pastillas wrapper making.

GSIS art contest
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is holding the 2017 GSIS National Art Competition. Artists based here and abroad may join any or all of the contest’s three categories: representational (figurative), nonrepresentational (abstract) and sculpture.
Cash prizes ranging from P30,000 to P300,000 will be given away; winning artworks will be exhibited at GSIS Museo ng Sining starting June 2.
Submission of entries is until May 6, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at GSIS Gymnasium, GSIS Head Office, Financial Center, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.
