Blizzard Entertainment is known for releasing incredibly detailed products inspired by the games they create. A new item has been added to the Blizzard Collectibles in the form of Overwatch’s Widowmaker.
The unveiling of this new Widowmaker statue is in line with the launch of the collectibles, which is an array of premium artwork, statues and replicas, all designed and produced directly by Blizzard.
This statue of the cold-hearted sniper Widowmaker stands 13.5 inches tall and has a 7.5-inch diameter base. Each item is also hand-painted. Widowmaker is priced at $150 (roughly P7,500) and pre-orders are now available over at the Blizzard Gear website. Delivery is scheduled for Q3.
Widowmaker is the third character from Overwatch, Blizzard’s latest hit game, to be rendered in statue form. The two other statues released earlier featured Tracer and Reaper.
The launch of Blizzard Collectibles also encompasses the previously released Hearthstone Collectible Keepsake Box and statues of Illidan Stormrage, Grommash Hellscream and Tracer, as well as Reaper.
With the Widowmaker statue launch, there are now 21 heroes left to render in highly detailed statues, not counting future hero additions. One thing’s for sure, Blizzard will have no “Mercy” on their fans’ wallets. Alfred Bayle/JB
