Products “Made in Japan” have long been synonymous with high quality, fine craftsmanship and good design. Eyewear brand Paris Miki, said to be the biggest eyewear chain in Japan, follows the country’s DNA.
Founded in 1930 in the city of Himeji, Paris Miki was originally a store that sold various merchandise, including eyewear. It became popular for its personalized service and high-quality eyewear, some of which are made by hand to this day.
It follows the Japanese value of “omotenashi” which means to entertain guests wholeheartedly. Entering the store, one is welcomed to its chic but homey interiors. The customer is served Japanese house tea while browsing around.
It is said that owning a pair of Paris Miki customized pieces is like investing in a future heirloom, since the tailor-fitted eyewear will last a long time.
