Sure, summer comes with unbearable heat. But it’s also that time of the year when we get to have fun under the sun in our favorite vacation destinations.

From spontaneous trips out of town to being stung by a jellyfish, seven guys talk about their ideal summer getaway and their go-to fashion—beginning with these pastel pieces from Uniqlo’s Summer 2017 Collection.

What’s your ideal summer getaway? A spontaneous trip to the beach with my family or friends.

What was your most memorable summer and why? Our family vacation in Boracay back in 2014 was definitely one for the books. I got to experience my very first private barbecue dinner by the beach.

What’s your typical summer getup? Tank tops and board shorts.

What’s your ideal summer getaway? Going to the beach because I feel at home by the sea.

What was your most memorable summer and why? The time my friends and I went to Subic. I got stung by a jellyfish and it hurt so bad I almost cried!

What’s your typical summer getup? I just go with what I’m comfortable with. Linen shirt, good shorts and boat shoes will do.

KURT MORRIS MENDOZA, 21, Meridian International School (MINT)

What’s your ideal summer getaway? I’d love to spend some time on a private island, travel alone, climb mountains and surf.

What was your most memorable summer and why? I think it was last summer when I went to Batanes. The place blew me away. And I just love that most of its food is organic.

What’s your typical summer getup? I’m a laid-back person, so a relaxed fit tee, summer shorts and espadrilles are for me.

JUSTIN TORIO, 20, MAPUA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

What’s your ideal summer getaway? Going to the beach, road trips and hiking.

What was your most memorable summer and why? When we went to Boracay. I celebrated my birthday there with my relatives. We tried many water activities. Who doesn’t love Boracay?

What’s your typical summer getup? Anything comfortable like T-shirt, shorts and white sneakers.

What’s your ideal summer getaway? Road trips! Going to different places that are relaxing.

What was your most memorable summer and why? Spent summer in Canada, got to escape the heat and experience a chilly “summer” with my cousins there. Unique experience!

What’s your typical summer getup? I like to dress lazy when there is no special event, so I’ll have to go with breezy tees, fitted shorts and a pair of sneakers or Birkenstocks.

What’s your ideal summer getaway? My ideal summer getaway is somewhere peaceful and relaxing with fresh air and lots of food!

What was your most memorable summer and why? When I was in high school, I remember being in the province and having a get-together with relatives. Each relative brought food, which we ate in our backyard. We shared a lot of laughs and had fun together. Simple but full of good memories.

What’s your typical summer getup? I’m all about simplicity—board shorts and a nice T-shirt.

What was your most memorable summer and why? Boracay in 2016. It’s the perfect place for a quick escape from the city to recharge and reinvigorate.
