The royal family shared a new photo in celebration of the second birthday today of their youngest member, Princess Charlotte.
Charlotte is the second child of Prince William and Duchess Kate. A hands-on parent along with her husband, the Duchess of Cambridge herself took the portrait in their country home in Norfolk.
The young princess looks candid and adorable in the photo taken in April. However, something else caught the attention of the British public: the knitted cardigan from retailer John Lewis.
According to express.co.uk, at £10 (P645), the yellow version of the cardigan went out of stock soon after the release of the royal photo.
Duchess Kate is known to dress both Prince George and Princess Charlotte in affordable clothes. Rakuten Marketing, a digital marketing company, cites the royal children as two of the “most influential” celebrities for children’s clothing, considering that the outfits they are pictured in always sell out.
Photos of Charlotte and her older brother George come rarely as their parents are keen to protect their privacy to provide a sense of normalcy in their childhood.
