Mitsukoshi to open in the Philippines

Mitsukoshi, the leading international department store chain based in Japan, will open in Manila, the first Japanese retail store to open in the Philippines. The groundbreaking was held last week.

It will be brought here by Federal Land and will rise beside the Grand Hyatt at the Fort in Taguig. The complex will have four towers.

Mitsukoshi was founded in the 17 th century in Tokyo. It’s a brand known to Filipino travelers who frequent its stores in Japan, primarily the one in Ginza. Mitsukoshi is also in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Europe and in North America.
