It’s a skater thing

Skater fashion has become one of the ideal trends young people get into for self-expression.

This style first caught my attention back in 2013 when one of my friends got me into skating. I saw how flexible and comfortable this getup was—I could wear it to the malls, school or anywhere.

A typical skater apparel is very urban. Skaters sometimes wear clothes with huge brand logos because they usually want to support brands in their sport.
These are brands such as Converse, Vans, Hurley, Stoked and Ripcurl.

When I tried wearing this style, it was something like an eye-opener—I discovered how fresh and easy it looked out there. Though at first I felt awkward, as soon as I tried the same style over and over, it began to feel cool.

It’s always a good idea to be flexible in your fashion style.

We checked out Sports Central for some skater vibe looks, where you can get a lot of outfit ideas. —CONTRIBUTED
