Want to become seven years younger? Go to Ethiopia.

This is just one of the many interesting things revealed during the launch of the latest season of the cable flying-adventure travel show Asian Air Safari at Shang Cineplex Tuesday night.

Asian Air Safari launched its 12th season with a screening of a two-part special on Ethiopia, an exotic country in east-central Africa.

The screening featured two new episodes where real life pilot and host Capt. Joy Roa explored the country’s rich history, met its vibrant people, experienced the unique culture, and discovered the diverse wildlife.

In one of the episodes, Capt. Joy learned that Ethiopian calendar is seven years behind the Gregorian calendar that most countries use today.

“If you want to become younger, you should visit Ethiopia,” Capt. Joy said.

Guests during the launch were treated with an ultimate cultural experience as  Ethiopian Airlines flew in cultural performers from the capital Addis Ababa to showcase their unique songs and dances.

They also got to experience the iconic coffee ceremony, followed by a feast of authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

Asian Air Safari Season 12 airs every Sunday beginning June 11 at 8:30 p.m. on ANC.

Ethiopian Airlines flies direct from Manila to Addis Ababa three times a week.
