Travel vlogger says PH is his ‘favorite’ among visited countries

Among the 53 countries he has visited since 2016, a popular travel vlogger revealed that the Philippines stood out as his favorite destination.

New York-based Israeli video blogger (vlogger) Nuseir Yassin, who manages social media pages under the moniker Nas Daily, relished his memorable encounters with locals during his two-week stay in the country last January.

Notorious for creating daily “one-minute videos,” Yassin explained in a vlog entry on Saturday that the Philippines satisfied the three criteria he has set for his travels: cheap prices of goods and services, fluency of English among the country’s natives, and breathtaking natural wonders found in the country.

“People, prices, and nature are why the Philippines is my favorite country,” Yassin, 25, said.

While in the Philippines, Yassin wasted no time in visiting the beaches of Palawan and held seminars about his storytelling ingenuity and passion for traveling. For his now-viral social experiment in the country, Yassin pretended to be a homeless foreigner and documented his experiences relying on generous strangers for food, water and shelter.

Exhausted from the daily grind of his previous job, Yassin founded Nas Daily last year with a vision to enjoy life while earning. Since then, his vlog entries posted on his Facebook page are liked and streamed millions of times.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
