Traveling around New York City would be more hectic as summer sets in, and you can expect New Yorker pet owners to be bringing along their pets for the ride. In fact, pet owners from the Big Apple have learned to be creative if they want to bring their furry friends even on their daily commute.

The city’s transport authority has a specific rule on bringing animals inside public transportation: “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container and carried in a manner which would not annoy other passengers.”

You would think that this would limit the size of animals that passengers would bring in, given the restriction that the animal must be carried in a “container.” But other owners see this as an opportunity, and have made sure that they can travel with their pets in tow through any means possible.

The dogs literally come in all breeds and sizes—and bags:

Smaller dogs are obviously easier to carry, and look adorable peeking through their bags:

Sometimes, commuters just want to bring one bag, and their puppers fit just right into a backpack:

But other doggos require an entire bag to themselves:

But despite best efforts, others can barely be contained:

And of course there are those who roll in style:

They even come as a squad, because it’s more fun to travel with friends:
