Do you over-shampoo?

Cream Silk gives every Filipina the #PowerToTransform with all-new customized solutions.

Everyone has different hair types, which means everyone has different needs. One should start by knowing one’s hair type and how it is affected by different factors.

Most Filipinas prioritize cleanliness when it comes to hair-care routine, due to the tropical weather. Washing excessively will strip locks of natural oils. So instead of having clean and fresh hair, what you actually get is dry and brittle hair.

A good balance can be kept by shampooing every other day, and compensating with conditioner.

Women with dry, damaged, coarse, curly or colored hair tend to worry that excessive washing strips the hair of nutrients and essential oils. To retain moisture, it is recommended to use a conditioner.

“The conditioner you use has to have very good nutrient content for better and deeper fiber nourishment,” said Marlo Mangilin, head of research and development at Unilever Philippines.

Unilever recently launched its newly formulated Cream Silk hair-care solutions with Advanced Hair Reborn Technology, offering different variants that cater to different hair problems.

Julie Anne San Jose is the face of Cream Silk’s Dandruff Free variant with an all new and improved formulation.

The range consists of seven customized solutions, each with a specialized formulation to improve and transform hair: Standout Straight, Hair Fall Defense, Damage Control, Stunning Shine, Dry Rescue, Dandruff-Free, and its newest variant, Color Protect.

“We launched Color Protect as our newest variant since we want to cater to more of the modern Filipinas’ hair-care needs, and to focus on keeping the hair more vibrant for its sulfate-free formula,” said Raiza Revilla, senior brand manager of Cream Silk.

The new Cream Silk range includes a healthy boost of lysine, twice as much as the previous formula. This provides deep nourishment that penetrates to the very core of the hair fibers, and Vitamin B5, which improves damaged hair and hair elasticity, and retains moisture and flexibility. The research and development team of Unilever has been working on this customized solution for seven years.

“With the launch of Cream Silk’s All-New Customized Solutions, we want to give Modern Filipinas the power to transform their hair,” said Dorothy Dee-Ching, Unilever’s marketing director for Hair Care.
