Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles is not the British people’s choice to be queen.

Only 14 percent want to see her earn the title of Queen based on an online survey.

Thirty-nine percent believe she should take “Princess Consort” as the title, while 30 percent say she should have no title.

The figures also don’t favor the Prince of Wales: 36 percent think he has made a positive contribution, down from 60 percent four years ago.

The view that he has made a negative contribution also rose from 15 percent to 27 percent.

Eighteen percent view Camilla as having a positive contribution, down from 28 percent. Thirty-seven percent feel she has had a negative contribution.

The Press Association shared results of its commissioned poll done by market research firm YouGov. A total of 1,614 respondents were involved and represented adults over 18 years old.

The poll was conducted from Aug. 2 to 3, 2017, before Princess Diana’s death anniversary, and after the British public-service station Channel 4 showed never-before-seen private video recordings of the princess.

Diana died in a tragic car crash on Aug. 31, 1997, at 36.

Unlike Diana, Prince Charles was largely mum about their rocky marriage, even if he was reported to be still in love with Camilla when he got married.

The Prince has been highly involved in charity work and has raised over 1 billion pounds (approximately P65.8 trillion) through his Prince’s Trust for the disadvantaged youth.

He has also advocated environmental sustainability and has collaborated with governments and businesses to this end.

However, public sentiment has swayed largely in favor of the charismatic Princess Diana: 44 percent believe she changed the Royal Family for the better.

Forty-four percent also believe that she received the right amount of respect following her death, while 30 percent believe it was too little.

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, had the highest popularity in the royal family. Seventy-eight percent believe he has had a positive contribution. Brother Harry follows closely at 77 percent and William’s wife, Duchess Kate, at 73 percent.

However, Prince William and Kate both dropped in popularity, with previous figures at 85 percent and 79 percent, respectively. Prince Harry was the only one who increased his former ranking, which was at 72 percent.  Niña V. Guno /ra
