Uniqlo has done it again.
They take well-loved traditional fashion pieces and weave in Japanese innovation into every fiber of their clothing. We’ve all fallen for the brand’s signature combination of simplicity and functionality, but it’s always the seasonal collaborations that blow us away.
For this year’s Fall/Winter collection, Uniqlo worked with designers JW Anderson and Inès de la Fressange to bring the traditional British charm and Parisian chic into everyday clothing for both men and women.
Adding the Uniqlo U and the denim lines, the brand beefed up a solid rotation of wardrobe classics that will come out on Sept. 22.
Some people would come up with any excuse to shop. Whether it’s an upcoming autumn trip abroad or you’re just getting ready for the rainy weather, here are 10 Uniqlo F/W 2017 pieces you shouldn’t miss:
1. Ruffled denim skirt
This soft denim midi skirt from the JW Anderson collab becomes an instant favorite to anyone who sees it. It also has a touch of the latest fashion trends: huge ruffles and frayed hems. It even has a rayon blouse counterpart—yes, with ruffles.
2. Multicolored striped shirt
This crew neckline top will surely make you crave for sour belts with its funky stripes. This JW Anderson shirt also saves you from looking underdressed even in the laziest of outfits. A turtleneck sweater also comes in a similar design.
3. Fleece sweater
Not a fan of knit scarves? Channel your inner Ji Eun-tak with a red-colored fleece jacket instead.
4. Long-sleeve linen dress
It’s not the first time we meet a no-fuss, classic linen dress as part of a Inès de la Fressange collection. Thicker linen and toned down colors for the familiar cut are in this season.
5. Cropped knit sweater
An essential piece for your preppy looks, this sweater makes layering easy and fashionable. The Uniqlo U pullover matches perfectly with oversized tops and high-waist bottoms.
6. Distressed denim
The real boyfriend jeans that girls would still love to cop. Uniqlo came up with jeans that are perfect for men who want the denim rips but aren’t a fan of showing any skin.
7. Structured polyester hoodie
Say goodbye to water-resistant bulky jackets that make you look like you’ve got a bad slouch. This light hoodie is sleek and crisp in every angle.
8. Long-sleeve polo shirts
The Inès de la Fressange shirts may look ordinary, but zoom into the details— contrasting thread colors are used for hems and fancy buttons line the wardrobe staple. We’re getting one of each in every color, please, and thank you.
9. Backpacks
The JW Anderson backpacks borrow a similar look from the Ultra Light Down jackets and spiced it up with an interesting mix of plaids in primary colors. The lightweight three-way bag that matches any style you’re in the mood for is also a must-have!
10. All the outerwear!
We can’t choose just one from the Nordic outerwear in the bold colors of the JW Anderson and nude palette of the Inès de la Fressange collections. Add in the whole range of knit sweaters, pea coats and office tweed blazers and you’ll probably spend an entire day shopping.
