White top, Forever 21

Sticking to your beauty routine can be a challenge when the weather is unpredictable. One moment, it’s unbearably hot and humid, only to be followed by pouring rain.

Here are my makeup and skincare suggestions for fickle weather.

Natural beauty

Bioré sunscreen, Etude House BB Cream and Nichido Final Powder

After cleansing and moisturizing your face, use a light sunscreen. Even if the sun is blotted out by clouds, we still need protection from its harmful UV rays.
This also prevents premature aging and dark spots. I personally like Bioré’s UV Aqua Rich Whitening Cream.

For a natural look, there’s Etude House’s Precious Mineral BB Cream SPF 30 PA++. This gives your face a dewy, pearl-like finish.

To keep makeup in place, lightly apply Nichido’s Final Powder in “So Natural,” a sheer loose powder that highlights your natural glow.

Contour allure

Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette —PHOTOS BY JC CINCO

Highlight and contour, if done right, define the face and give it a healthy glow. Consider Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette.

It includes a matte contour powder that can double as an eye shadow, an illuminating highlighter for the high points of your face or for the inner corners of the eyes, and a shimmer blush in the perfect shade for almost any skin tone.

Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice comes with two baked powders, one shimmer highlight perfect for shoulders and across the décolletage, and a cream formula that can withstand the most humid of days.

Luscious lips

Colourpop, MAC, Baby Lips

These days, the market is filled with endless lip products and colors to choose from. Feel free to experiment until you find what’s best for you.

I still prefer moisturizing lipsticks and tinted lip balms because they make lips look healthier and more luscious. For this season, I suggest pink and red hues as opposed to warmer colors.

#Eyebrowsonfleek

Maybelline’s Falsies Volum’ Express mascara

In 2014, teenager Peaches Monroee coined the phrase “eyebrows on fleek” to describe great-looking brows. It has since been used as a hashtag on Instagram over 1.5 million times.

One eyebrow product professional makeup artists swear by is the K-Palette 24 Hour Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner. It is long-lasting, water-resistant and, most important, looks natural.

Maybelline’s waterproof Falsies Volum’ Express mascara won me over because of value for money.

Eye do

Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water, Tony Moly’s Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick

Between school, getting stuck in traffic and attending extracurricular activities, no one actually gets a good night’s sleep anymore. When even concealer can’t do the trick, Tony Moly’s Panda’s Dream: So Cool Eye Stick reduces puffiness, smoothens fine lines and brightens tired-looking eyes. Apply before makeup as a primer or as needed during the day over makeup.

Use Avène Eau Thermale after working out, shaving or even over wounds and itchy skin.

Come clean

L’Oreal Micellar Water

Never hit the sack without cleansing your face of makeup and accumulated dirt because they cause whiteheads and blackheads.

L’Oreal Micellar Water is a 3-in-1 product that cleanses, removes makeup and soothes skin. It does not require rinsing and leaves skin smooth and hydrated.

All-around oil

Argan Oil

Argan Oil has been gaining popularity lately, and for good reason. It can be used to moisturize the skin, lips, nail and hair. It also reduces sebum in oily skin, improves skin elasticity to prevent stretch marks and soothes razor bumps. —CONTRIBUTED
