Beauty queen Imelda Schweighart recently announced on social media that she had given birth to a baby boy.
Her son, Noach, was born via water birth on July 21.
Prior to this, the former Miss Earth Philippines did not share any news of her pregnancy. She addressed the secrecy behind it in an Instagram post.
“Itinago ko pagbubuntis ko para di ka mapagkaisahan ng mga taong walang awa (I hid my pregnancy so that people who have no pity won’t gang up on you),” the 22-year-old wrote.
She related that she eventually revealed his birth because she was proud of him and didn’t want to keep him a secret.
“Ikaw ang pinakamalaking achievement sa buhay ko (You are my biggest achievement in life),” she said.
Now a month old, she shared that baby Noach doesn’t cry much and constantly smiles.
She also wrote, “Kung pagkaisahan man tayo, pasensya ka na, gagawin ko ang lahat para maipag tanggol ka pag dating ng panahon sa legal na paraan (If others go up against us, please bear with it. I will do anything to defend you through a legal process when the time comes).”
The German-Filipino model, who hails from Palawan, did not reveal who the father of the baby is.
Schweighart returned the Miss Earth Philippines crown in October 2016 following a controversy with Miss Ecuador Katherine Espín.
She claimed that the Ecuadorian, who went on to win Miss Earth, stole a gown made for her.
While talking to fans, she was caught on video insulting Espin for her alleged plastic surgery. She was criticized for her comments.
After the incident, she has laid low and has been advocating veganism on her Instagram page. /ra
