La Prairie Skin Caviar Absolute Filler—a moisturizer that works as a skin filler
La Prairie Skin Caviar Absolute Filler—a moisturizer that works as a skin filler

Volume and density loss are inevitable effects of aging, as the cellular structure of the skin collapses. Little wonder lasers and surgical procedures are so popular with older women in their quest to counter the effects of aging.

Swiss luxury skincare company La Prairie has just come up with a painless alternative—no injections or scalpels involved.

This September, La Prairie rolls out the newest addition to its acclaimed Skin Caviar line: the Absolute Filler, essentially a moisturizer that works as a skin filler. It plumps and rejuvenates the skin with the most potent nutrients of the caviar, its proteins and lipids. It’s facelift in a bottle, if you must.

For the Skin Caviar Collection, which claims exceptional lifting and firming action, La Prairie previously developed the Caviar Extract. In the new Absolute Filler formulation, La Prairie created the Caviar Water from a steam distillation process, to capture the caviar’s most volatile active ingredients.

The lipids and proteins of the caviar are then isolated and recombined to create the Caviar Absolute, containing highly concentrated caviar oils and proteins. The formula claims to stimulate collagen formation, as well as add volume and firmness to the skin. To improve skin’s texture and elasticity, the Caviar Absolute is blended with brown algae and peony root extracts.

The brand’s proprietary Tissue Guidance Matrix strengthens the skin at a cellular level, improving volume and moisture.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Absolute Filler comes in an elegantly designed 60-ml pump bottle, and is available exclusively from Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
