It’s no secret—Tiendesitas is a one-stop shop for pet lovers.
We’re pawsitive you’ll find all kinds of treats for you and your pet at Tiendesitas’ Pets Village no matter your budget, something we proved on our recent Super Raid. More collars than you’ll know what to do with, bags and bags and bags of dog food (including the more elusive brands), grooming products, beds, carriers, clothes, costumes, toys.
We love the service, too. If you walk into a shop and they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will actually lead you to a place that has it.
It’s impawsible to go and not want to pick up something—whether it’s a new leash, a delicious-smelling pet shampoo or, in one friend’s case, a new puppy (which, years later, she still describes as her best impulse buy).
And the best part, you don’t have to leave your pets at home when you go—you can bring them while you shop.
“Ortigas Malls has an extremely pet friendly policy which embraces all responsible human parents bringing along members of their fur family, ” said Monique Castañeda, marketing manager of Ortigas & Company.
Pet lovers don’t just go to Tiendesitas for shopping, they have grooming and veterinary services, too.
“We offer comfortable, unhurried leisurely shopping and pet pampering while retaining the wonderful sense of discovery from each shop,” Castañeda said.
And they hold fun events. “On Oct. 8, we will have our “It’s a Pet’s Date.” We are continuing with Tiendesitas signature Pet Blessing activity and a host of other events for your furry babies,” Castañeda said.
The pet blessing, held in celebration of the feast of the patron saint of animals St. Francis of Assisi, will happen between 11 to 12 noon. There will also be trick demos by US Certified Canine Behavior Specialist Jojo Isorena and the BetterDog graduates, a scavenger hunt for teams of dogs and humans (2-4 p.m.), games like Hot Dog Retrieve, Egg Relay, photo and talent and tricks contests.
“We encourage people to visit the new Tiendesitas where we guarantee fabulous finds. The extensive renovation addresses the ever-changing needs of the times like more parking and dining options,” Castañeda said.
It’s also at Tiendesitas that we found our new favorite shop— Pet Co., which curates finds from pet conventions all over the world in one convenient place. (Try to spot the cute cat that chills there.)
Pet Co. CEO Kris Barbasa, a fashion designer, also created her own line of adorable pet clothes and costumes called Posh Paws.
She said: “The clothes come in five sizes—from tiny ones that are perfect for chihuahuas to bigger ones that can fit even Malamutes. People really come to us for clothes and costumes.“
We lost our minds over the adorable costumes—in fact, thinking about the new ones they might have released since our visit makes us want to go back right meow.
