Matteo Guidicelli, Luis Manzano bring out the Cebu ‘lechon’–as watch loop

Luis Manzano and Matteo Guidicelli parade giant watch loop of Cebu “lechon” in Face-Off Cebu Edition finale.

Inquirer Lifestyle and LOOKbook’s 2017 Face-Off OOTD Cebu Edition had quite a fitting finale at SM Seaside City Cebu last Sept. 27: show hosts and Swatch brand ambassadors Matteo Guidicelli and Luis Manzano carried a larger-than-lifesize image of the world-famous Cebu lechon. And the audience gave it a rousing applause.

The Cebu lechon is an image on the loop that Matteo chose to go with his new Swatch x You, the latest collection of the famous Swiss brand.

The image of the Cebu lechon is a special-edition loop used in Face-Off. The lechon—Cebu’s signature image—loop is exclusive to the Philippines.

While Guidicelli, a Cebu home boy, and Manzano walked the runway, waiters served  plates of precut Cebu lechon to delighted guests.

Face-Off OOTD Cebu Edition, presented by Converse and Swatch, featured the muses and male friends of 16 of Cebu’s finest designers.

It was also fun to see  these Cebu stylistas walk the runway, in their OOTDs and Converse’s White Chucks—those iconic sneakers that straddle generations.

White Chucks

Created in 1917, the Chuck Taylor All Star has the unmistakable  high-top and low-cut silhouettes, a canvas upper, a star-centered ankle patch and a vulcanized rubber sole.

After over 100 years,  the classic Chucks has been updated with the release of Chuck Taylor All Star II last 2015.

The event was presented with SM Seaside City Cebu, Vivo Phils., Philippine Airlines,  Cebu Daily News and Salon de Rose.
