Many people go to Gubat to surf, but it’s not a jungle we’re talking about.

It’s time to pack your surf gear and to bring out your boards. All aboard for the Lunad sa Balod (Riding the Wave) National Surfing Competition and Music Festival. This event gathers surfers from all over the country for a three-day fair that includes surf clinics, surfing competitions, a film showing, live sets by DJ Bettina Lopez and Arra Pascual, as well as performances by Goodleaf and other homegrown acts. It will be held at the Buenavista Surf Camp in Gubat, Sorsogon from October 20 to 22.

The Lunad sa Balod (Riding the Wave) National Surfing Competition and Music Festival is made possible through the efforts of the Gubat Sorsogon Surfer’s Association (GSSA) and in partnership with sponsors.
