Okay, so contrary to what the controversial fan-made poster said, Coldplay isn’t invading our tropical shores anytime soon. Not without a hefty talent fee and an arena-sized venue to play in. But dashed hopes and impending lawsuits aside, we have a lot to look forward to in 2012. Actually, “a lot” is an understatement.
January kicks off an event-packed 2012 with alt-punk, radio pop, and theater; meanwhile, wallets will bleed in the month of hearts as more pop, garage, indie rock, metal and wrestling (yup, you read that right) will flood your gig itineraries for the whole of February.
This barely gives you enough time to breathe (and recover from the staggering expenses) for the return of your childhood pop fantasies in late March. And to think this is just for the first quarter of the year. Parents, grandparents, ninongs and ninangs, better brace yourselves on Christmas Eve—kids are going to have some pricey concert tickets on their wishlists this year.
