Filipino-Romanian Elizabeth Durado Clenci clinched the 2nd runner-up title at the Miss Grand International 2017 held in Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam on Wednesday evening.
Peru’s bet Maria Jose Lora bagged the Miss Grand International 2017 title.
Venezuela’s Tulia Aleman Ferrer finished 1st runner-up, while Clenci bested Puerto Rico’s representative Brenda Azaria Jimenez, who was 3rd runner-up, and Czech Republic’s Nikola Uhlirova, who was 4th runner-up, the international pageant organizers said.
Prior the coronation night, Clenci has shared on her Instagram account her excitement and gratitude to have been part of the pageant.
“I can’t believe it, Tonight is the big night!! Eternally grateful for this entire journey and experience. Thank you to everyone who has shared this with me. My heart is so filled with joy,” she said.

The Philippines’ bet Nicole Cordoves won first runner-up in the 2016 Miss Grand International pageant.
Special awards were also given to Thailand’s Pam Pamela (Miss Paradise Cave Heritage Award), Paraguay’s Lia Ashomore (Best in Social Media Award), and China’s Xuejiao Chen (Best in Evening Gown).
Miss Grand International is an annual international beauty contest arranged by Miss Grand International Organization based in Thailand. /kga
