A rock group named Planet 9 Trio, and the six-member Flippin’ Soul Stompers will perform in two separate gigs in Makati.
Planet 9 Trio, composed of Mon Espia (vocals, guitar), Dave Delfin (bass) and Tony Fernando (percussion), will play for the first time on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Damiana’s – a Filipino comfort food place in Legazpi Village.
Fernando, who co-owns The Smoking Joint BBQ Place also in Makati, says Planet 9 Trio is something that he wants to do regularly as a way of keeping up with the music.
He adds that the group has now expanded its classic rock repertoire to include contemporary tunes.
Meanwhile, the Flippin’ Soul Stompers returns to play at The Smoking Joint on Nov. 11.
The band, led by seasoned musician Bing Austria, is known for its exciting rendition of soul and R&B classics.
