Parenting forum tackles ‘millennials’

St. Theresa’s College Quezon City Alumnae Association (STCQCAA) will hold the forum “Parenting the Millennials,” Nov. 11, 10 a.m., at the St. Adolphine Hall of the St. Theresa’s campus on D. Tuazon, Quezon City.

Millennials have often been described as a difficult generation because they can be narcissistic, self-entitled and easily discouraged. They are also said to be indecisive, stubborn and seemingly too liberal in their ways.

What societal changes have encouraged the young to adapt this attitude? Why are they norm breakers as they search for their happiness?

The forum seeks to give another perspective on this generation.

Research and strategy experts Issa Baron (STCQC Batch 1981) and Vicky Ortega come as millennial allies. As they help understand the millennial tension points, parents and teachers will learn how to connect with them in a way that will build strong relationships as parents, as educators, spiritual companions and employers.

“Parenting the Millennials” is another installment of TereTalks, a quarterly symposium organized by STCQCAA to discuss subjects of interest and relevance to alumnae and the community at large.
TereTalks stands for “Teresa enlightens, refreshesand energizes.”

Entrance fee is P300 inclusive of snacks.

Tickets are available at Room 101, STCQC Senior High School Building, St. Theresa’s College, Quezon City. Call 7400115 local 233; visit www.stcqcaa.org.
