For those who still haven’t ironed out their holiday merrymaking plans, Alfred at Makati Diamond Residences is bringing back its popular Champagne & Tapas Buffet for two weeks only, Dec. 4-8 and Dec. 11-15.

The weeknight-only event from 6 to 9 p.m. will consist of heavy cocktails including Jamon Serrano, roasted US beef belly, salmon pasta and a selection of bite-size, open-face sandwiches. Toppings include sea bass purée, and chicken and barbecue sauce.

Not to be missed is the melted Swiss raclette served with cornichons, cocktail onions, boiled pearl potatoes and rye crisps.

To toast the closing year, guests can choose from bubbly Jean Vesselle Brut Reserve with its blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, or local beers, sodas and select cocktails like Italian Negroni or mojito, among others.

PR and marketing manager Stephanie Chanco said they were bringing back the Champagne & Tapas buffet to provide a venue for those who still haven’t reserved a place for their Christmas parties.

“We expect the two Fridays to be the first booked,” she said. Alfred, the hotel and serviced residence’s F&B outlet, can seat 70.
