Manila Pen holds ‘Santa’s Workshop’ on today

The Peninsula Manila’s annual family holiday classes offer a chance to decorate gingerbread
houses, paint Paete taka horses, and create plush Christmas tree ornaments

Santa’s Workshop, the annual Christmas family activity at the Manila Peninsula, will have two sessions on today, Dec. 2—9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.

The event gathers children and their parents to decorate gingerbread houses, paint Paete taka horses, and create plush Christmas tree ornaments.

Families are encouraged to decorate their own sweet and spicy, ginger and molasses gingerbread houses with frosting and candies, paint traditional Paete taka papier-mâché rocking horses in rollicking festive colors, and create beautiful plush ornaments to hang on their Christmas tree.

At the end of the Santa’s Workshop session, everyone gets to bring home their masterpieces to use as centerpieces for their holiday celebrations.

Children also get to enjoy all the popcorn, cookies, cakes and hot chocolate their little tummies want, while there will be gluehwein for the adults to enjoy.

Prices are P2,000 for one child and one accompanying adult (exclusive of taxes) with an additional P1,000 (exclusive of taxes) for every additional companion.

Part of the proceeds will benefit Virlanie Foundation that reaches out to street children from the streets of Metro Manila.
