A must-visit Disney Christmas Village at SM North Edsa

Heads up Disney fans! In case you’re around SM City North EDSA for the holidays, there’s a Disney-themed Christmas Village at The Block Atrium you surely wouldn’t want to miss:

SM City North EDSA’s Tsum-tacular Christmas Village at The Block Atrium

The Tsum-tacular Christmas Village, which is a collaboration between SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. and The Walt Disney Company, was officially unveiled through a short program launch last November 10, which is now open for all mallgoers to enjoy for free.

Marking the center of the village is a gigantic 45-foot Christmas tree featuring the best-loved Disney Tsum Tsum characters: Minnie Mouse, Tigger, Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear, Donald Duck, the Little Green Men, Winnie the Pooh, Marie, Stitch, and Mickey Mouse.

The massive Christmas tree, which certainly deserves a slot in every kid’s photo album be it digital or traditional, is surrounded by an equally fascinating set of winter town and park itineraries that include:

  • The Disney Tsum Tsum Train

  • The Christmas Houses

  • The Sleigh

  • The Clock Tower

  • The Winter Park

  • The Merchandise Corners

Disney and Filipino families

The Tsum-tacular Christmas Village is part of SM and Disney’s We Love Disney campaign, which aims to bring the Disney brand closer to the hearts of Filipinos by creating more magical moments and memories for the whole family, especially this yuletide season.

The Disney-inspired holiday theme is present in 55 SM Supermalls across the country and shoppers can expect more Disney- and Pixar-themed activities to unveil in the next days throughout the entire Christmas Season.

The activities will be held on weekdays and on weekends, and all will be accessible to mallgoers free of charge.

Tsum-tacular launch

The official opening of the Tsum-tacular Christmas Village last November 10 was graced by Congressman Bingbong Crisologo, Asian’s Next Top Model Fifth Cycle winner Maureen Wroblebitz, SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Operations Steven Tan, Disney Philippines Country Manager Veronica Cabalinan, Quezon City First District Councilor Onyx Crisologo and family, and SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Marketing Jonjon San Agustin.

Before the village was unveiled to the public, a group of students from the Philippine School for the Deaf took the center stage to perform a sign language-choreographed dance number of the classic Christmas song “Do You Hear What I Hear?” followed by welcoming remarks from Cabalinan and Tan.

Shortly after, iconic Disney couple Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse appeared on stage, which delighted every kid and kid-at-heart present during the event.

The Tsum-tacular Christmas Village was magically opened by the wave of the light stick wands of the crowd participating in the launch.

The event was hosted by Marco Suarez and Janina Vela.

Shoppers can visit the Tsum-tacular Christmas Village until January 7, 2018.

Other holiday treats that everyone can enjoy at the SM City North EDSA this Christmas Season are the spectacle of lights, dazzling decorations, live performances, fireworks displays, and the annual “Bears of Joy” advocacy of the SM Supermalls.
