Looking for something to fill an empty wall space? Typically, framed art such as a painting or a mirror should do the trick. Here’s something interesting and easy to source if you don’t have it already—a silver tray grouping.
The really neat thing about it is you don’t have to have them all shiny and new. The tarnish or even dents are what give them character.
Gather a few trays.
Use plate hangers to hold the trays in place. (You can buy these at Ace Hardware or True Value.)
Other materials you would need are:
Hook or nail
Hammer or drill
Measuring tape
Pencil or chalk to mark for hook or nail.
Play around with the arrangement until you’re satisfied with the balance and look.
Make sure you measure the gaps in between—as a rule, they should be the same between plates.
Mark them on the wall for the hook or nail.
Use a hammer or drill to install the hook/nail.
