Step into a world of family amusement and adventure as Smart Kids Asia Philippines (Smart Kids), Asia’s largest educational kids’ fair, opens its gates this January 27 and 28.
For its fourth edition, Smart Kids will take fair-goers to a tour filled with cultural sideshows, exciting games and activities from over 100 exhibitors, so it’s just wise to do some preparing to make the most of the family extravaganza. What is there really to expect at Smart Kids?
Let the fun begin
Everyone can join the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will begin at 9 AM. Familiar and well-loved mascots, such as Po the main character of Dreamworks’ “Kung Fu Panda”, will grace the ceremony.
To jumpstart the morning, stilt walkers, jugglers, and drum beaters will treat fairgoers to a colorful visual performance. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the stage area comes to life with the Diwa Pasiklaban sa Paaralan National Finals, and the Smart Classroom with Diwa Brain Clash, where young chess players get a chance to play against a Filipino Grand Master.
From that point on, the stage goes hyper busy with interactive activities from Adventurer, Ardent (Moringa-O2), Aspen (Kwell), Cambridge, Ceres, Disney Art Attack, DreamPlay, Grand Alphatech, Halili-Cruz School of Ballet, Haraya, Lima Park Hotel, Microdata, Milna, Nido FortiGrow, Polaroid Philippines, PruLife UK, Ritz Food Corp., Skyranch, Tempra, and YEY.
In the afternoon, Nesfruta will shake things up with dance numbers and games. The brand’s special guests, the Kramer family, will join the fruity fun.
Jollibee will have its own kiddie party with a twist! The well-loved brand is throwing a Hello Kitty Fun Carnival party complete with mascot dances. Kids should not miss the easy felt banner-making demo of BIC as well.
Classroom activities

Cooking demos, arts, and crafts
Parents and kids who like to dabble in cooking and arts will enjoy Dreamplay’s session on decorating gingerbread cookies and twisting balloons into fun shapes.
Budding handcrafters will get a kick out of Disney Art Attack’s shape tracing classes, and BIC’s hanging paper decor making.
Mathematics, coding
At Smart Kids, parents and kids will discover the exciting world of mathematics by having fun learning numbers at the Robotics and Singaporean Math classes of Enderun Colleges.
Coding can be learned at any age. Young Coders Philippines will show kids about the basics of coding in a fun and cool way.
Performing arts
Smart Kids affords parents to discover their child’s penchant for the performing arts. Halili-Cruz School of Ballet will facilitate a training for those who want to try their talent in dancing.
Family discussions
From nutrition to health to hygiene, Smart Kids covers a wide range of discussions to educate both parents and kids.
Arla will hold a “Dairy 101” session with games; Moringa-O2 will talk about hair and skin care; and Tempra will sit down with folks to talk about fever causes and treatments.
Basic lifesaving skills are important at any age. Parents who would like to know hands-only CPR can drop by at the Argonix session.
Digital activities
Technology adds excitement to activities. See Microdata start the classes with storytelling using a modern classroom simulation, and MindGuru do a demo on sensory enhancement.
Quest Guide

Entry passes
Tickets can be bought onsite. Each family ticket is worth P250, and admits 2 adults and 2 kids (12 years old and below) or 1 adult and 3 kids. Additional passes are available for P50 each for either adults or kid.
Individual tickets are priced at P100 for adults and P50 for kids. Kids two years old and below can enter for free. Tickets purchased from Metrodeal will be checked and validated at the redemption booth. It is better to go early in the morning to avoid long lines.
What to Wear
The Smart Kids venue is expansive. It is best to wear clothes and shoes fit for a whole day of walking and activity.
What to Bring
Before heading to Smart Kids, to fully enjoy the day, make sure to bring the following:
