It’s your party and you can celebrate with Mickey if you want to

“Oh, it’s your birthday? Happy birthday, Princess,” Aurora said, her face lighting up after spotting a guest’s birthday badge.

Birthdays and all kinds of occasions are made even more magical at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Birthday girls with a deep love for Disney princesses can drop by the Royal Princess Garden to meet their favorites.

On the days we were at the park, we got to see Sofia the First and Snow White. We bonded with Aurora over our shared love of naps and spent time talking to Belle about books.

“What are you reading now?” we asked.

“I’m reading about a girl who fell into a rabbit hole. Alice. Do you know her?” she asked.

“The beautiful Disney princesses have their own stage to play on every day,” said Annie Wharmby. “Our Royal Princess Garden is well worth visiting. It’s open only for a short time. It’s a great opportunity to meet lots of different princesses, each with their own beautiful animated scenery from their story. Your kids can participate in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which is a good experience which leaves them with lifelong memories. And there’s some great merchandise to pick up there, which is all princess themed.”

Hong Kong Disneyland has a lot more in store for fans of the Disney princesses in the future. The iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle is currently undergoing a magical transformation. The new castle will be inspired by 13 different princess stories. “I’m really excited about that. It’s gonna be phenomenal. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s tall and slender and elegant,” said Annie.

There are so many ways to celebrate at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

If you’ve checked into any of the resort’s hotels, you can ask them to give your room a themed makeover to make it more festive.

You can order special cakes. The ones at Chart Room are just beautiful.

Character dining is another great option for celebrations. We’re big fans of it because it’s a chance to spend a little more time with the Disney friends. At Chef Mickey in Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, Chef Mickey will gladly take a break from his duties in the kitchen to say hello to you while you eat. At Disney Explorers Lodge’s Dragon Wind, you can spend time with Mickey and Minnie. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel’s Enchanted Garden Restaurant is another great choice—enjoy a buffet and meet some of your favorite Disney friends. Character dining is also available at Disney Explorers Lodge’s World of Color during breakfast.

There’s also a long list of other characters you can meet at the park: Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, Tinkerbell, Chip and Dale, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Iron Man, BB-8, Chewbacca, R2-D2, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Woody, Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou. Make sure you get your birthday badge at the City Hall so everyone will know it’s your special day.

You can hold parties at Hong Kong Disneyland, too—and yes, that includes weddings.
