The teasing made the wait agonizing. But EXO-Ls can finally enjoy the second official comeback of EXO-CBX starting today. The group is the sub-unit of the hugely popular South Korean boy group EXO. CBX stands for the names of the trio who are part of the sub-unit. They are Chen (Kim Jongdae), Baekhyun (Byun Baekhyun) and Xiumin (Kim Minseok).
The official music video of their mini-album title song “Blooming Day” was uploaded today, April 10, 6 p.m. KST (5 p.m. local time).
EXO-CBX leader and lead vocalist Xiumin first hinted their 2018 comeback on his birthday post on March 26 through the official EXO-L app. He did not give the date right away. Instead, he made his fans work it out themselves through a puzzle shared in the official EXO-L app.
EXO-Ls, in return, did not disappoint as they were able to deduce within minutes the exact release date of the album.
This year’s EXO-CBX Korean mini-album “Blooming Days” has seven songs, representing the seven days of the week, “Monday Blues,” “Blooming Day,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Thursday,” “Vroom Vroom,” “Playdate” and “Lazy.” Fans may now listen to the mini-album on Spotify.
ChenEXO-CBX will also release their first full Japanese album, “Magic,” on May 9. EXO will have their concert on April 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
