Affordable beauty products rule the Met Gala red carpet

Supermodel Gigi Hadid teamed her Versace couture with a shimmering makeup look courtesy of drugstore beauty giant Maybelline. According to the brand, which teamed up with the star on a beauty line last year, her look featured multiple products, including the new “Soda Pop” eyeshadow palette,” a “Color Sensational” lip liner and an “Intimatte Nudes” lipstick.

Rihanna

As one of the official 2018 Met Gala hosts, all eyes were on Rihanna – and she did not disappoint. The superstar accessorized her papal-themed Maison Margiela outfit with a makeup look created using her own Fenty Beauty line, including her “ProFiltr” primer and foundation, her “Matchstix” contouring sticks, and a shimmering bubblegum pink lip color.

Jennifer Lopez

JLo’s debut makeup collection with Inglot Cosmetics just dropped last month, so naturally the star wanted to show it off on the biggest red carpet of the year. Her beauty look featured the JLo X Inglot “Café Au Lait” eyeshadow, “Viva Las Lashes” mascara, “Cocoa 1” sculpting powder and “Flor” lipstick, to name just a few.

Jourdan Dunn

Another supermodel flying the flag for Maybelline was Jourdan Dunn, who took to the red carpet wearing the brand’s “Super Stay” foundation, “Soda Pop” palette and “Vivid Hot Lacquer” lipgloss.

Cardi B

Rapper Cardi B loves to mix high end with budget fashion and beauty buys, and the star championed the approach once again on Monday night. As reported by Allure, Cardi’s makeup artist Erika La’ Pearl teamed a series of Marc Jacobs Beauty products with an affordable set of false “Teddy” lashes from Kiss. NVG
