Don’t throw your boarding pass even after you land. It may just be your key to shopping and other lifestyle perks.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has launched the Boarding Pass Privileges, which is running until April 17, 2019.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir passengers can use their boarding passes to enjoy exclusive deals and perks in hotels, boutiques, restaurants and other establishments, with over 145 brands the world over.

To sweeten the deal for Filipino passengers, SIA partnered with Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) for the airline’s first localized Boarding Pass Privileges—exclusive discounts for over 38 SSI brands nationwide.

It’s a perfect collaboration between SSI, the country’s top luxury retail chain, and Singapore’s flag carrier. “We started the Boarding Pass Privileges in Singapore 10 years ago. It was created so that people visiting us can find more things to do,” said SIA Philippines general manager Balagopal Kunduvara.

While the city-state cannot compete with countries like the Philippines which abound with natural attractions, Kunduvara said “the Boarding Pass Privilege was a way to extend the experience beyond the flight.”

The participating SSI brands include Aeropostale, Boss, Brooks Brothers, Coach, Kate Spade, MakeRoom, Michael Kors, Samsonite.

SIA passengers need only present their boarding passes to participating establishments to enjoy discounts. The boarding passes are valid for one month from the date of travel.

SilkAir boarding passes are also honored. KrisFlyer PPS Club members can also avail themselves of the offers by showing their PPS Club membership card upon purchase in participating SSI outlets.

Worldwide privileges

Kunduvara added, “Apart from the privileges here, our Boarding Pass Privileges holders can also enjoy access to 140 deals around the world.”

Boarding Pass Privileges holders can expect discounts in these establishments on the following dates:

June: Samsonite, American Tourister, Le Sportsac, Coach, Superdry, Women’s Secret; July-September: Brooks Brothers, A/X Armani Exchange, Aeropostale, F&F, Cortefiel, Springfield, Kenneth Cole, Diesel, Old Navy, Women’s Secret, Max Factor, Covergirl; October-December: Nine West, Kurt Geiger, Aerosoles, Ecco, Dune, MBT; January-March 2019: Boss, Bally, Furla, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Pottery Barn, West Elm, MakeRoom, Aeropostale, Polo Santa Barbara, Jack Nicklaus.
