For Mother’s Day, Starbucks is offering the floral Mom Card kit with greeting card and envelope with an initial activation fee of P500. With a big hug, the pink-and-purple card would make for a simple but meaningful gift for the coffee-loving mumshie.
Download the Starbucks Philippines app on her mobile phone, create a new account and register the card to earn her a free drink with two add-ons (soy milk, whipped cream, hazelnut syrup). Mommy also gets a complimentary cake slice on her birthday.
Summer drinks
Starbucks just rolled out two cold-drink varieties which are available until June 2: Midnight Mocha and Tea-ramisu Frappuccinos.
Ideal for dark chocolate lovers, Midnight Mocha is rich and bittersweet. The blended beverage with a base of black cocoa-infused coffee, has java chips, whipped cream and cocoa powder dust.
Now a bestseller, Tea-ramisu Frappuccino has a creamy cheesecake profile. It is flavored with mascarpone cheese and thick Japanese matcha, covered with whipped cream and crumbled green tea cookie bits. Tea-ramisu caters to those who like the grassy taste of green tea—an acquired earthy taste.
Both drinks can be paired with the savory Spinach Mushroom Dutch Pancake, a crepe-like roll filled with creamy spinach and sautéed mushrooms, or the Classic Italian, a pesto sandwich with turkey ham, salami, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
These items were introduced at the recent Starbucks Summer Grand Launch at SM Mall of Asia Atrium, along with new desserts: Pistachio Dome with white chocolate mousse and Chocolate Babka (non-Kosher) sweet bread with Belgian chocolate.
Also returning this summer is a seasonal favorite—the flaky cream-filled Maple Pecan Danish.
Starbucks Card collectors can also add to their stash the fun Frappuccino Cards. Available in four color combinations (sold by loading it up with P1,000; maximum of two cards per person), these can be used to take mom out to a coffee date on Mother’s Day.
