It is finally here.

BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boys) are back today, with their title track, “Fake Love,” in a stunning and powerful music video revealed at 5 p.m. local time  at iBigHit Youtube channel.

Their newest single is from “Tear,” their third full-length album and is the second installment of their Love Yourself series.

In the five-minute video of their newest single, BTS pay homage to grunge rock and groovy trap beat, distinguishable through piercing guitar riffs and emotional vocals, accompanied by the rap line’s ever-meaningful verses.

The septet is seen as their characters in the alternate universe they’ve started since 2015, telling a journey of self-love and acceptance. With a subtle reference to Ursula LeGuin’s short story “The Ones Who Walked Away From The Omelas,” Jungkook is seen trapped in an dark but spacious compartment where he can see the other six members dealing with their own created “euphoria” shattering before them.

The song perfectly captured the pain and pretense when it comes to love. It spoke about how one gets too consumed with the emotion that they let go of who they are in the process of loving. The rustic and dystopian-esque video sets the tone of what will BTS explore in their new album.

Lumpens leads the production of the video, with Director Yong Seok-choi. The song is produced and written by RM (the leader), Gang Hyowon (PDogg) and Bang Shi-hyuk (“Hitman” Bang) of Big Hit Entertainment.

The South Korean boy group is also set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, on May 22 at 5 a.m. Manila time. Catch the live stream at the Billboard Music Awards official Twitter account and Facebook page. You can also watch it at NBC.com.  The album is also out for streaming in Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes.
